Sustainability Management Structure
At Nuh Çimento, the Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight, as well as the effective and efficient management, of sustainability- and climate-related risks and opportunities. The early identification of sustainability and climate risks, the implementation of necessary measures, the development of relevant policies, and the effective management and evaluation of these risks through appropriate practices are the responsibilities of the Sustainability Strategies Executive Committee, which operates under the Board of Directors through the CEO. The Sustainability and Climate Committee, operating under the Executive Committee, identifies sustainability- and climate change-related risks, opportunities, and targets, and reports to the Executive Committee. The Sustainability and Climate Committee also monitors projects and progress against targets through the working groups it has established and reports on a regular basis. It plans initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability awareness among internal and external stakeholders.
